As an annual gathering for the global glass community and one of the two main exhibitions for global glass industry, the 29th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2018) will take place at Shanghai New International Expo Centre 19-22 April 2018. The organizer maintains the development concept of professionalization, internationalization and scale-up to demonstrate the innovative achievement in all aspects in global glass industry so as to provide national and international companies with an authoritative and professional platform which covers the whole glass industrial chain.
China’s glass industry maintained growth during 2017. The total output of flat glass in 2017 was 790 million weight cases with a 3.5% rise compared to the same period the previous year. Annual industry revenue and profit increased by 20% and 81% respectively, to RMB 75.9 billion and RMB 9.3 billion. The glass industry has made significant development under a favourable policy environment and rare market chance. 2018 is playing a bridge role in the implementation of the 13th five year plan, a 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, a starting year to carry out the spirit of 19th national congress of CPC. So far, it appears that although the demands of glass industry market have not seen brisk growth, the glass industry maintains a very high level of market scale. The glass industry is expected to realize a moderate but stable and sound growth in 2018. The industry added-value will be consistent with last year and the industrial structure and economy benefit will be further promoted in 2018.
China Glass is witnessing a notably recovery of China’s glass industry. Booth confirmation has been received from 865 companies, including 612 domestic companies and 253 overseas enterprises. Dozens of companies from 11 countries along with One Belt and One Road have confirmed their booths at China Glass 2018, including Israel, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore etc. International government departments and industrial institutes including BMWI, VDMA, ICE Italy and GIMAV-VITRUM, have organized state pavilions such as Germany, Italy and the US pavilion at this event. China Glass 2018 is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors from more than 70 nations and regions.
China Glass 2018 takes up an exhibition area of 80,500m2 in seven halls at SNIEC and hall E1, while the eastern part of hall E2 has been set up as an international area for state pavilions, along with many important global glass industry brands including Corning, LiSec, Glaston, Bystronic Glass, Dip-tech, Kuraray, Von Ardenne, Bohle, Grenzebach Machinery, Beijing SEPR, AGC, Carl Zeiss, Honeywell, OMCO, Vesuvius, Bottero, Intermac, etc.
Glass manufacturers and large equipment providers will be in hall E3 and the western part of hall E2, such as: China Building Materials Academy, Triumph International, Luoyang Float Glass Group, China Yaohua, China Glass Holdings, Kibing Group, TAIWANGLASS, Xinyi Glass, North Glass, Land Glass, Mountain Glass, Yuntong Glass, Jinjing Group, CSG Holding, Shanghai SYP Glass, Shahe Glass Group, Flat glass group, Liaoning North Glass Machine, Anhui Yinrui , HIHO Glass, Mr. Glass, Sinoma Advanced Materials, SHANXI LIHU, Ruitai Materials Technology, Hangzhou Jinggong, Zhijiang Silicone, Chengdu Guibao, Zhengzhou Yuandong, etc.
Halls E4, E5 and E6 are occupied by glass processors and manufacturers, such as EI Automation Equipment, GOLIVE, Guangdong Fushan Glass, South Glass Technology, Beijing BOZA, Jinan Weili, Tenon(Beijing), Beijing MGM Glass, Shandong Fangding, Guilin Champion Union Lewei Science & Technology, Dardi water cutter, Shandong Sanjin Glass, etc. Moreover, a large number of small and medium enterprises specializing in abrasive tools, glasses, grinding materials, accessories and glass hardware will be in Hall E7.
At the glass show this year, China Building Materials Academy will display its new products in fields of flame proof glass, quartz glass and special glass, vacuum glass, core material of night-vision equipment and coating material of solar thermal components; North Glass will showcase its product series in regard to super large glass production, glass tempering furnace, automatic glass process production line with cutting and storage, pre-processing system for automobile glass and silk screen printing, which could meet market demands of intelligence, efficiency, high precision and low energy; LiSEC’s exhibits include: insulating glass production line, CNC milling/drilling centre, SprintCut and aeroflat tempering equipment; Glaston will bring Online Glass Quality Measuring and Anisotropy Scanning System; Champion Union Diamond Company will bring us its new breakthrough technology in High Speed Diamond wheels; China Liaoning North Glass will showcase its new Unmanned operation laminated glass production line and autoclave. In addition, there will be more new products and solutions such as industrial robots, intelligent photovoltaic glass and new energy efficiency glass.
China Glass will include several technical seminars and product promotion meetings held during the four days of the exhibition. The topics cover: Heat resistant separation materials, Infrared high radiation energy-saving coatings, Cloud intelligent manufacturing and industrial robots for glass production, Energy saving technology for glass furnaces, New materials and coating applications, and New products for glass printing.
China Glass will continue to respond to the policy of reducing excessive production capacity and promoting the structural reform of the supply side, supporting technical exchanges of the glass community, and helping domestic and international manufacturers to expand markets and promote international economic trade, also by means of technical exchanges and business talks for the global glass communities.
